Alwar, 27 August (HS). Bhiwadi police arrested the accused Preet alias Golu late on Monday evening in the case of shooting a jeweler and looting his jewelry. On Tuesday at around 2:20 pm, the police presented the accused in the court. After this, the court sent the accused on seven-day police remand.

Bhiwadi police arrested Preet alias Golu, a resident of Badli (Delhi). After the incident, the criminal Preet was hiding in Delhi. Police caught him from there and brought him to Bhiwadi at around 7 pm on Monday evening.

His uncle helped in catching the criminal. It is being told that the uncle is a sub-inspector in Delhi Police. After the photo was circulated, Bhiwadi police was informed about the criminal. After the incident, the police was continuously searching for the criminals. Raids were being conducted in Haryana-Delhi. Police is identifying the accused. Meanwhile, another police team has gone to Haryana to catch other criminals.

It is noteworthy that on 23rd August at 7:30 pm, five masked armed goons reached Kamlesh Jewellers located in Central Market of Bhiwadi and after looting and assaulting, they opened fire while fleeing. In the firing, showroom owner Jai Singh died while four others were injured. After this, the angry traders closed their shops and staged a sit-in protest. This incident shook the whole of Rajasthan. There was a lot of pressure on the government and the police to reveal the incident.
