Varanasi, 15 July (HS). The country's first hydrogen vessel has anchored at the multi-model terminal located at Ramnagar Ralhapur. The hydrogen vessel that started from Kolkata in the last week of June reached Namoghat on Sunday evening via Jalway-1 Haldia-Varanasi route. The vessel was brought to the multi-model terminal Ralhapur late in the evening. The vessel reached Kolkata via sea route from Kochi Shipyard.

The work of decoration, painting etc. inside the ship will be completed at the multi-model terminal. According to the officials of the Inland Waterways Authority of India, there are preparations to run the ship from Kashi to Chunar via Prayagraj. The hydrogen ship will be operated by the Tourism Department. The fare and route will also be decided. The special thing is that this ship running on hydrogen energy will not cause pollution in the Ganga. It has been prepared in Kochi Shipyard. Passengers will have a unique experience in this two-storey ship. It will be operated with cylinders filled with hydrogen. Plants will also be installed for this.
