During the program, Birla was honored with the Mahatma Hansraj Award. Lok Sabha MP Naveen Jindal was also present on this occasion.
Birla further said that in the coming times there will be a fourth industrial revolution and there will be significant progress in artificial intelligence, biotechnology and other new areas. Therefore, it is everyone's responsibility to keep the country at the forefront in these modern subjects of research. He further said that our country has completely changed socio-economically and these changes have been possible due to the Gurus. India is progressing rapidly today due to the ability, efficiency and quality of the students who have been educated generation after generation.
The Lok Sabha Speaker also said that in today's rapidly changing world, the role of teachers has become even more important. The responsibility of preparing our youth for the challenges and opportunities of the future rests on the shoulders of teachers. He said that India has developed today because of the emphasis on education since ancient times. At present, the youth of India are leading in almost all fields. He expressed hope that under the guidance of teachers, our youth will not only learn to adapt themselves according to the coming changes, but due to India's growing strength in the field of change and education, our youth will soon lead the economic progress in developed countries.
Referring to the history of Hansraj College and its remarkable achievements in the field of education, Birla said that Hansraj College, established in 1948, has been a pioneer in the field of education and has made its mark as the top institution of the country. Over the past decades, Hansraj College has been constantly encouraging research and innovation and the students here are being provided an academic environment that promotes value-based education and personal development.
