Raipur/Surguja 11 September (HS). The families of the victims of the industrial accident at the Alumina Plant in Surguja district of Chhattisgarh will be given a compensation of Rs 15 lakh each by the company. Similarly, the injured will get an amount of Rs 3 lakh each.
It is noteworthy that Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai had expressed deep condolences with the families of the victims of the industrial accident that took place in the alumina plant last Sunday and had directed the district administration to take appropriate action. Collector Sarguja has constituted an investigation team to investigate the alumina plant accident. The collector inspected the alumina plant today with the investigation team and directed the company officials to hand over the compensation amount to the families of the deceased and injured in the accident as soon as possible.
The collector said that in this industrial accident, the company will give a compensation of Rs 15 lakh to each family of the deceased and Rs 3 lakh to each injured. The administrative team will hand over this amount to the families of the company officials on 12 September. He said that the investigation team is strictly checking the compliance of safety standards in the alumina plant. The plant will not be restarted without the permission of the administration.
