Lucknow, 27 September (HS). Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar Singh held a meeting with all the Divisional Commissioners and District Magistrates through video conferencing and gave necessary guidelines.

In his address, the Chief Secretary said that all the District Magistrates should review the IGRS cases randomly received every day. Take strict action against those employees who make misleading claims. Before the upcoming weekly review meeting, all the District Magistrates should first hold a meeting with the complaint redressal officers (L-1) and sensitize them that the satisfaction of the complainant is necessary in the resolution of complaints. To increase the level of satisfaction of the complainant, he must talk to the applicant once before or at the time of disposal or conduct an on-site inspection.

While reviewing the protection of destitute cattle and construction of cow shelters, he said that adequate number of cow shelters are available in the districts. Once again, inspection should be conducted in urban and rural areas and 100 percent destitute cattle should be protected in cow shelters. There should be proper arrangement of straw, green fodder, water etc. in all the shelter places. He instructed the Revenue Department to prepare a village-wise list of Gochar land. He said that after the rains, a campaign should be launched to free the pasture land from encroachment. After being free from encroachment, the land should be used by the Animal Husbandry Department. It was told in the meeting that out of 503 large cow conservation works, 321 works have been completed.

Reviewing the PM Suryaghar-Free Electricity Scheme, the Chief Secretary said that under the scheme, a target has been set for solarization of 25 lakh houses in the state. Uttar Pradesh has to be given the top position in this scheme. Progress should be made in the installation of plants in relation to registration. Apart from this, a meeting should also be held with the vendor. To make people aware, camps should be organized at banks, power houses and other public places. Similarly, he gave instructions to speed up the work of installing solar panels in all government buildings by December 31, 2025.

It was informed in the meeting that till now on-grid solar plants have been installed in 52 District Courts, 958 Secondary Schools, 26 Collectorates, 35 Vikas Bhawans and 34 Government ITIs and 96 Ashram Schools, 36 Government ITIs, 42 Common Health Centres, 30 Primary Health Centres, 31 Kasturba Off grid solar plants have been installed in Gandhi Girls Residential School.

Additional Chief Secretary Energy Narendra Bhushan, Principal Secretary Livestock Ravindra Nayak, Chairman UPPCL Ashish Kumar Goyal, MD UPPCL Pankaj Kumar, Commissioner and Secretary Revenue Council Manisha Trighatia and other senior officials were present in the meeting.
