The Chief Minister himself came to the field to take stock of the water supply

Jaipur, May 29 (HS). The state government is working on alert mode to ensure regular supply of water and electricity in the state. In this sequence, Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma reached the pump house on Wednesday to review the water supply arrangements of Jaipur. Sharma inspected the pump house located at Ramniwas Bagh and Jawahar Circle pump house and reviewed the water supply arrangements. He instructed the officials to work diligently to maintain continuous water supply from the pump house.

Sharma, while talking to journalists, said that at present, the state is going through a period of intense heat and heat wave. The state government is making suitable arrangements by using all the available resources to supply water to the general public. He said that our aim is to provide water to every household.

The Chief Minister said that the Central Government had allocated budget to every division and district under the Jal Jeevan Mission scheme, but the previous Congress government cheated the people of the state. They did not spend the budget in Rajasthan on this ambitious scheme to be completed by the year 2023 and sacrificed it to corruption.

Sharma said that earlier when electricity was Rs 3.50-4.00 per unit, the Congress government could have purchased electricity for the people of the state. But the previous Congress government did not buy electricity and took unwise decisions in the energy sector, due to which now our government is buying electricity three times more expensive at Rs 11-12 during peak load. Also, 147 lakh units of electricity have to be returned to other states every day during peak load in May, June, July. The Congress government had already sensed its defeat. They had taken such a loan in collusion, which was to have a direct impact on the common people in the summer of 2024. Congress leaders should tell what was their real intention behind not making arrangements for electricity for the people of the state at that time? In such difficult times, our government is engaged in ensuring the supply of electricity to the people of the state.

Chief Minister Sharma said that the state government has signed MoUs worth Rs 1.60 lakh crore to strengthen the power system and work is being started rapidly towards bringing it on the ground. Also, in view of the increasing demand, power generation is being increased by starting Dholpur and Ramgarh thermal power and gas plants and the process of continuous power purchase is going on. He said that we assure the public that there will be no shortage of electricity and water in the coming times.

Chief Minister will hold a review meeting on May 31 regarding water and electricity

The Chief Minister said that all the District In-charge Secretaries were directed to visit their respective districts for two days to monitor electricity, water and other issues in the state. Under this, all the In-charge Secretaries are reviewing the arrangements in the respective districts and the report submitted by them on May 31 will be reviewed at the state level. During this, MLA Jitendra Gothwal and other departmental officers were present.
