The Chief Minister destroyed drugs worth Rs 2,100 crore by using a bulldozer

Guwahati, June 26 (HS). Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma himself drove a bulldozer on drugs today. During a program today on the occasion of International Drug Prohibition Day, the Chief Minister himself drove a bulldozer and destroyed drugs worth Rs 2,100 crore. Later through social media, the Chief Minister said, “Assam has waged a war against drugs. This evil has been attacked at regular intervals. Drugs worth more than Rs 2,100 crore have been recovered.

We are committed to creating a drug-free Assam, where our children are safe from the menace of drugs and can lead a healthy life.

On the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, we recommit ourselves to the larger goal of a drug-free India.”
