The cattle mafia threatened to kill the chairman of the


Araria 11 July (HS). Cattle mafia has abused and threatened to kill PACS Chairman and former Mukhiya Sunil Mandal of Aurahi West of Simraha police station area. Regarding the matter, the PACS Chairman has expressed the fear of danger to himself and his family members from the cattle mafia. The cattle mafia abused and threatened to kill the PACS Chairman when he came out of Simraha police station.

In fact, the matter for which PACS Chairman Sunil Mandal was threatened is a two-day old case, in which a stolen buffalo was recovered from Zakaria Private Limited slaughterhouse (meat factory) located in Sukhsena Ward No. 14 of Halhalia Panchayat on Tuesday night. Amit Kumar Mandal, resident of Simraha Colony Ward No. 14 Renugat, informed Simraha police about cattle theft. The administration had given written documents in the name of Zakaria Private Limited slaughterhouse to mark the cattle inside the factory, after which the cattle started roaring on seeing the owner when Zakaria entered the meat factory. The cattle had a white colored mark of a canopy on its forehead, which was tried to be erased by coating it with cow dung. The cattle was identified after going back with water. After which the cattle was recovered from Zakaria factory and handed over to the cattle owner.

Regarding this matter, the employees of Zakaria cattle slaughter house and cattle mafia reached Simraha police station and were trying to settle the matter among themselves. On getting information about this, PACS Chairman Sunil Mandal also reached the spot and requested the police station in-charge to take action against the stolen cattle. Angered by this, the cattle mafia threatened the PACS Chairman. Giving information, the PACS Chairman said that illegal activities and open violation of environmental rules are being done inside the Zakaria meat factory along with making minor boys and girls work. Action is necessary on this. In this matter, Simraha Police Station in-charge Ruby Kumari said that no written application has been given by the PACS Chairman till the time of sending the news and said that action will be taken after receiving the application.
