Started acting since school days
Anu Aggarwal started acting from her school days. She was a gold medalist in sociology at Delhi University. After a stint in modelling, she got a chance to act in the Doordarshan serial 'Ek Bahane' (1988), followed by the superhit film 'Aashiqui', which marked Anu's Bollywood debut and stardom.

The actress was in a coma for 29 days
After the success of Aashiqui, Anu started getting offers for many films. Makers started bringing bags full of money for her to sign the film. But in 1999, Anu suffered a serious car accident, due to which she remained in a coma for 29 days. The actress was treated for about three years, but after the accident her face was so damaged that it became difficult to recognize her. In such a situation, the actress moved away from Bollywood and her career was ruined.
After the accident, Anu Agarwal joined yoga
After this, in 1997, Anu Agarwal joined yoga at 'Bihar School of Yoga' and stayed there as a Karma Yogi. After this, in 1999, Anu left Mumbai and decided to take 'Sanyas' to serve the people. After this car accident, Anu lost all memories of her career and past life. She became a nun in 2001. Currently, Anu Agarwal lives in Mumbai, is single and does yoga.
