Anshul Kamboj took 10 wickets in a single innings: Haryana fast bowler Anshul Kamboj created history in the ongoing Ranji Trophy 2024-25. He took all 10 wickets in the match against Kerala. Anshul Kamboj achieved this feat in the first innings of Kerala in the fifth round match played in Lahli.

Anshul is the third player to do so

He is the third bowler to take all 10 wickets in an innings of Ranji Trophy. Before him, Premansu Chatterjee of Bengal had done this in 1957 and Pradeep Sundaram of Rajasthan had done this in 1985. Anshul was the first to dismiss Baba Aparajit on the fifth ball of the match. After this he took his 10th wicket in the form of Shaun Rogers. His bowling figures were 30.1 overs, nine maiden overs, 49 runs and 10 wickets.

Anshul’s performance in IPL

Anshul played for Mumbai Indians in IPL 2024. Here he got a chance to play in three matches. But it was released before the next mega auction. On taking all 10 wickets in an innings on 14 November, he said, ‘This situation does not happen every day. I will try to take the remaining two wickets. But if other bowlers of the team also get these wickets, I will be equally happy.

Anshul’s brilliant performance in domestic cricket

Before this domestic cricket season, Anshul had never taken five wickets in an innings. But in two months he has already taken 8 wickets and now 10 wickets. He took eight wickets while playing in Duleep Trophy. He said about this, ‘I am in good rhythm this season. I played last year also. But I did not get many wickets. I bowled well. I hope this year will be better. Anshul has moved on from playing tennis ball cricket. That’s why he always wanted to become a fast bowler.

Now Anshul can get a big amount in mega auction

Recently Anshul also played in the Emerging Asia Cup 2024. In which he got four wickets in three matches. It is believed that he may get a huge amount in the mega auction to be held for the upcoming IPL 2025.
