The body of the youth who was swept away in Menal waterfall was found on the third day, he had drifted 60 feet away

The body of a young man who was swept away in the Menal waterfall, a tourist spot located in the Begu police station area of ​​the district, on Monday afternoon has been found after about 48 hours. After falling down in the waterfall, the young man was swept away for about 60 feet. The NDRF team started the search operation early on Wednesday morning. The body was found on Wednesday after an hour and a half search. The body has been taken to the mortuary of the Begu hospital. The post-mortem was conducted here.

Menal waterfall is flowing at full speed during the rainy season. A large number of people are coming here for tourism. Kanhaiyalal Bairwa, a resident of Bhilwara, also came to Menal waterfall on Monday for picnic with his friend Akshit. While taking a selfie here, he lost his balance and started flowing towards the waterfall in the water. He caught hold of the chain placed a little before the waterfall falls. People also tried to save him but later he fell into the waterfall from a height of 150 feet. Since then, the team of Civil Defense Chittorgarh and NDRF were engaged in the search. On Tuesday, when the body was not found, a special team of NDRF was called from Kota which goes inside the water and searches. The body could not be found anywhere till it got dark on Tuesday evening. The operation was stopped on this. At around 5.30 am on Wednesday, the NDRF team entered the water of the waterfall along with constables Sunil and Surendra of Joganiya Mata police post. The search operation was carried out here for about one and a half hours. The body of the youth Kanhaiya was found at a distance of 60 feet from where the waterfall is falling. The team retrieved the body and brought it to a higher place. The body was taken to Begu Hospital with the help of an ambulance. Here the police conducted the post-mortem.

It is worth noting that people show carelessness while having picnics at Menal waterfall. This leads to accidents every day. There is a warning board installed here but people ignore it and become victims of accidents.
