Patiala News : The body of a final year medical student was found in her hostel room in Patiala. The deceased has been identified as 30-year-old Subhasini, a resident of Chennai. The hostel warden found Subhasini's body at around 12 noon on Saturday, after which the police were called to the spot.
The police have contacted the family of the deceased, who will reach Patiala on Sunday. After the family's arrival, the police will record the statement of the warden and take further action. SP City Mohammad Sarfaraz Alam said that the cause of the student's death has not been ascertained yet, but the whole matter will come to light only after the post-mortem.
Police officials said that Subhashini was a final year student who had taken a room in the hostel. Every student is allotted his/her own room and Subhashini was studying anesthesia in the Government Medical College. On Saturday, when she did not come out of her room as usual, the hostel warden opened the room with the master key, after which Subhashini's death came to light in the morning.
