Shrine Board Ropeway Project: If you are going to the court of Mata Vaishno Devi then this news will make you happy. Yes, Shri Mata Vaishnodevi Shrine Board, which is continuously working for the convenience of the pilgrims, is now going to provide new facilities for the elderly and disabled pilgrims. Actually, at present the elderly and disabled face a lot of difficulty in reaching Mata Vaishno Devi Temple. Therefore, it has been decided to build a ropeway (cable car) to the temple for the pilgrims visiting Mata Vaishnodevi Temple. People can reach the temple easily and quickly through ropeway.

The main building will be connected by ropeway.
With this step taken by the Shrine Board, the journey to the temple of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi will become safe and the time will also be less than before. However, the rope-way project is being opposed by the local people. The Shrine Board says that the project will be completed keeping in mind the concerns of the local people. At present, it has been decided to connect the ropeway to the main building via Tarakot. Passengers will reach Sanji Chhat via ropeway. After this the passengers will travel on foot from Sanji Chitta to Bhawan. There is a helicopter helipad on Sanji Terrace itself.

it became easier to complete the steep climb
Let us tell you that ever since the Shrine Board has started the ropeway from Bhawan to Bhairo Valley, it has become easier for the pilgrims to complete this three km steep climb. Lakhs of devotees coming to see Mata Vaishnodevi currently have to travel a long distance of 13 kilometers from Katra to reach the temple. Physically disabled people sometimes have to face a lot of difficulties in this journey. Sick or disabled people are also often seen traveling on horses and mules. But now with the opening of the ropeway, the travel time will be significantly reduced and the journey which used to take hours will be completed in minutes.

This project will prove to be a game changer
Shrine Board CEO Anshul Garg said the new ropeway connecting the building will be very useful for those who cannot reach the temple on foot. He also said that first the people living nearby will be listened to, only then the ropeway work will be started. Garg said that every year lakhs of people come to visit Mother Vaishnodevi. Last year, the highest number of devotees had come to the temple for darshan. So far this year, about 86 lakh people have come for darshan.

According to officials, the new ropeway will go from Tarakot to the temple. It will be constructed in such a way that there is no harm to the surrounding trees and plants. Also, when the devotees board this ropeway, they will also get to see a beautiful view of the mountains.
