Jaipur, 3 December (Hindustan Reporter). Governor Haribhau Bagde has said that the benefits of development schemes and welfare programs should reach the last mile citizens. He called for making every possible effort for the upliftment of the weaker and deprived sections and every eligible person should be benefited from the schemes of the Central and State Government.
Governor Bagde was addressing the district level meeting in Beawar on Tuesday.
The Governor reviewed the schemes of the Central and State Government and the ongoing programs for the social and economic upliftment of the deprived sections and took information about the point-wise achievements. He gave instructions to give effective results under important departments including medicine, education, rural development, electricity distribution, drinking water. He said that officers should give top priority to public welfare.
He stressed on ensuring supply of tap and electricity connections in every village and expanding basic facilities.
Reviewing the social security pension schemes in detail, he said that the elderly, single women, specially abled people and other needy sections in rural areas should continue to receive social security pension regularly. This should be ensured at all levels.
Divisional Commissioner Maheshchandra Sharma, District Collector Dr. Mahendra Khadgawat and officials of various departments were present in the meeting.
