Mirzapur, 24 October (Hindustan Reporter). A huge crowd of spectators gathered on the Moti Jheel road in Vindhyachal to watch the emotional staging of the ten-day Ramlila organized by the Srivindhya Ancient Ramlila Committee. On Wednesday night, the audience became emotional after seeing the beautiful staging of the dialogue between Shri Ram and Kevat. In this sequence, the killing of Jatayu and maternal uncle Marich along with the abduction of Sita was staged.
The spectators stayed till late night to watch the Ramleela staged by Srivindhya Ancient Ramleela Committee in the premises of Bhandara Sthal situated on Moti Jheel Road. The artists mesmerized the audience by staging a beautiful dialogue between Shri Ram and Kevat. In the course of Ramlila, Lord Shri Ram started requesting the boatman standing on the bank of Saryu river to take him in the boat to cross the river. Shri Ram said to make us cross the river and let us move ahead. On this, the boatman came to Lord Ram and said, who are you, where have you come from and where are you going, please introduce yourself. Then Shri Ram introduced himself to the boatman and the boatman ran away from there and stood at some distance and said that you are the same Ram whose stone flew into the sky as soon as he touched it. My boat is made of wood, it will fall apart. How will I support my family? I can't make you cross the river. On this, Shri Ram asked the boatman, is there any way by which you can help us cross the river, then the boatman said, yes, first get your feet dusted. After washing the feet, the boatman made Ram cross the river. After crossing the river, Ram gave Sita's ring to the boatman while landing the boat. The boatman started saying, O Lord, what are you doing and refused to lower the boat. Kevat said that my house is here and yours is Vaikunthdham. When I come to your place, cross me. Hearing this, Ram hugged the boatman.
Before the inauguration of Ramlila, chief guest senior social worker Lal Bhatt performed Aarti by worshiping Lord Shri Ram, Lakshman and Mata Janaki. Kamal Mishra played the role of Shri Ram, Devi Dixit played the role of Lakshman, Raj Giri played the role of Ravana, Munna Babu Mishra played the role of Minister, Anju Prabha played the role of Sita, Raj Giri played the role of Kevat and Gopi Mishra played the role of Vyas. The stage was conducted by program coordinator Adarsh Upadhyay.
