The anger of Kshatriyas against BJP was not seen in Gujarat but in this state, they lost nine Lok Sabha seats

Lok Sabha Election Result 2024: Congress has prevented BJP from being wiped out in Rajasthan. In the 2014 and 2019 elections, BJP had won all 25 seats in Rajasthan, but this time Congress has made a comeback.

Rajputs decisive in Rajasthan

Rajput votes were decisive in the seats in Rajasthan where Congress won. BJP suffered a major setback due to the displeasure of Rajput community in Dausa, Bharatpur, Karauli-Dholpur, Tonk Sawai Madhopur. Last year BJP did not give political representation to Rajputs in the assembly. There was a dispute over ticket allocation, but the dispute was resolved during the elections. Before the Lok Sabha elections, the fire of this dispute flared up again due to the statement of Purushottam Rupala. Although Rupala's controversial statement did not affect the Kshatriya community in Gujarat, it had a deep resonance in the Rajput community of Rajasthan. Apart from this, Vasundhara Raje also has influence on Jat and Rajput community.

Ignoring Vasundhara Raje

After the assembly elections, BJP completely ignored Vasundhara. When Bhajanlal Sharma was made the Chief Minister amidst Vasundhara's displeasure, the Jat-Rajput community became angry. Vasundhara was in the list of star campaigners of Rajasthan BJP, but she campaigned only for her son Dushyant Singh in Jhalawar. Apart from this, by not campaigning on any seat, the inclination of Jat-Rajput voters turned towards Congress.

Being a reserved seat, more than three lakh Muslim voters and more than six lakh Dalit voters chose the Congress candidate in Ganganagar seat. The impact of the farmers' movement was more visible in that meeting. The anger of the farmers proved to be too much for the BJP.

agitation by jaat community

BJP suffered a setback due to the reservation agitation of Jat community in Churu, Jhunjhunu, Nagaur and Sikar. Candidates of Congress alliance partners have won in Nagaur and Sikar. In Nagaur, BJP gave ticket to imported candidate Jyoti Mirdha, who was not accepted by the local voters. The Jat community has been demanding reservation agitation for a long time, and when their demand was not met, they finally expressed their anger against BJP.

The displeasure of a veteran leader and two important communities has dealt a big blow to the BJP. The margin of victory in all the seats won by the BJP has reduced. If the urban voters had not embarrassed the BJP, it would have lost more seats. Apart from this, the Congress and the alliance also made caste equations while giving tickets. There was unity between the Gehlot and Pilot factions, there were no attempts to defeat the candidates of the other camp. Congress benefited from this.
