Chandigarh grenade attack: Police has reached the second accused involved in the grenade attack on a house in Sector 10, one of the posh sectors of Chandigarh. The accused named Vishal has been arrested by Punjab Police from Delhi with the help of central agencies. He is a resident of Dhyanpur Police Station Kotli Surat Mallian Balta, near village Raimal in Gurdaspur.
Investigation revealed that US-based gangster Happy Pasiya had initially provided some money to the two accused to implicate them in the crime. The remaining amount was decided to be paid after the incident. But when the accused contacted Happy Pasiya after the incident, he started making excuses. Later he even stopped picking up the phone. The amount has not been paid.
This information has come to light during the interrogation of the accused by Punjab Police. Along with this, on Sunday, the police presented Vishal in Amritsar court. From where he has been taken on remand till 20 September. So far 3 accused have been arrested in this case. These include auto driver Anil and grenade thrower Rohan. Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav had earlier given this information by posting on social media account X.
According to sources, during police interrogation, the arrested accused revealed that their deal for the blast was for Rs 5 lakh. But they got only Rs 20,000 in the first installment. Accused Rohan told the police that he was trying to escape to Jammu and Kashmir after the attack in Chandigarh. But after the video went viral, their plan changed at the last moment. After this, both of them chose different routes. Along with this, the police is now investigating many other things about him.
