The accused of bank fraud was sentenced to 5 years imprisonment and fined Rs 15 lakh


Ranchi, May 29 (HS). The court of CBI's special judge PK Sharma on Wednesday found the main accused Satish Kumar Sahu guilty of bank fraud and sentenced him to five years of imprisonment. He was also fined Rs 15 lakh.

This case of bank fraud is of the year 2008. Accused Satish Kumar Sahu had taken a loan of Rs. 1 crore from Bank of Baroda in the name of setting up a turmeric factory. He had also withdrawn half the loan amount. Later it was found that the accused had taken the loan from the bank on the basis of fake documents. After this, CBI registered an FIR in the case and started investigation. In this case, the court has already sentenced four culprits including Satish's brother and two bank employees.
