Mumbai, 17 April (HS). Both the accused in the aerial firing case at the residence of film actor Salman Khan were arrested by the Mumbai Police team disguised as priests from a temple in Bhuj, Gujarat. Both the accused were sleeping in the guise of sadhus in the temple of Bhuj. This information has been received after investigating the matter. The Mumbai Police team is thoroughly investigating this matter.
Actually, two accused had fired in the air in front of Salman Khan's house on Sunday morning. After this, both of them had fled to Bhuj in Gujarat and were living as monks in a temple there. After getting information about this, a team of Mumbai Police disguised itself as a priest and raided the temple and arrested both the accused. When both the accused were arrested, they were sleeping fearlessly in the temple. After this, the police brought both the accused to Mumbai and the court sent both of them to police custody till April 25.
During interrogation, it was revealed that the accused had purchased a second hand bike from a showroom in Panvel. The accused submitted original documents like Aadhar card, rent agreement to buy the bike. On the basis of the address given in the rent agreement, the police reached the house of the accused. There the police took the mobile numbers of Vicky and Sagar from the landlord. When the mobile number was traced, the police came to know that both were residents of Bhuj, Gujarat.
Based on the information received, the police reached Madh Temple in Bhuj, Gujarat. The accused had taken shelter in the temple to hide. To avoid suspicion on the accused, the police disguised themselves as priests and arrested both the accused with caution. Both the accused are suspected to have links with the Bishnai gang. Lawrence Bishnoi is likely to be interrogated in this case. Police suspect that Lawrence, who is in jail, had full knowledge of the attack. Although Anmol Bishnoi was the mastermind of this attack, Lawrence must have been fully aware of it. The accused were ordered to fire only two rounds. But five rounds were fired at the accused, Mumbai Police is also investigating this. New revelations are being made every day regarding the attack. One of the two accused was already associated with the Lawrence gang. The second accused later joined the gang. Before the firing, an advance of Rs 1 lakh was given to the accused. With the same money both of them bought a house on rent and a bike. Both the accused were in constant touch on a mobile number before and after the attack. Police is investigating whose mobile number this is.
There was firing at Salman Khan's house on April 14. Before the attack, the accused had conducted recce at Salman's house thrice. Both the accused are residents of Champaran, Bihar. According to the police, the accused were seen between February 29 and March 1 near Hotel Taj Lands End, which is 1 km away from Salman Khan's house. Salman Khan's farmhouse is just 13 km away from the place where the accused had rented a house in Panvel. In the investigation so far, it has also come to light that the accused had also conducted recce of Salman's farmhouse. According to CCTV footage, accused Vicky Gupta was riding the bike, while Sagar, who was sitting behind, opened fire at Salman's house. Intensive investigation of this matter is going on.
