Due to effective lobbying by the police team of Cantonment police station, the accused in the gangster case was sentenced to two years and three months imprisonment and a fine of Rs 5,000 by the Gangster Court of ADJ-10 on Thursday after his conviction. This information was given by Deputy Commissioner of Police East Shravan Kumar Singh.

He told that under the Operation Conviction campaign, case of crime number 311 of the year 2008 under section 3 (1) of Uttar Pradesh Gangster Act of Police Station Cantonment was registered against Machu alias Mohd., resident of Sanjay Nagar, near Khalwa Taxi, Cantt. Israr was registered against son Mohammad Ismail. His hearing was going on in ADJ-10 Gangster Court. The prosecution presented effective arguments on every hearing date scheduled in the court. The case was argued effectively by SPO Ghanshyam Srivastava, Sub Inspector Sujar Chauhan, Chief Constable Avneesh Kumar, Amit Singh Bhadauria, Computer Operator Ravindra Rathore, Lady Constable Lakshmi Singh, Constable Rajnesh Kumar and Cantonment Police Station Advocate Rahul Kumar. The accused Macchu alias Mohd. Israr was convicted. The court on Thursday arrested the accused Macchu alias Mohd. Israr was punished with 2 years 3 months imprisonment and a fine of Rs 5,000 under Uttar Pradesh Gangster Act.
