The accused in the check bounce case got one year imprisonment and a fine of Rs 24 lakh

Ranchi, 29 July (HS). The court of Judicial Magistrate Janice Minj has sentenced Amit Kumar Soni, who was found guilty of cheque bouncing, to one year imprisonment. The court has also imposed a fine of 24 lakhs. The court said in its order that the fine amount will be given to the victim to whom Amit Soni had given the cheque. This amount will be payable in lieu of the cheque which bounced.

Amit Soni had given two separate cheques of Rs 19 lakh 85 thousand to Ajay Jain for payment of money, which bounced. After this, Ajay Jain had taken refuge in the court. Ajay Jain had filed a complaint case in the civil court, which was heard in the court. Advocate Anant Kumar Vij argued on behalf of Ajay Jain. This case is of the year 2021.
