The accused did not appear in court in the case of fraud of Rs 15 crore with Mahendra Singh Dhoni


Ranchi, 05 July (HS). The civil court heard the case of fraud against former Indian cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni on Friday. Despite the summons being issued, Mihir Diwakar of Arka Sports Private Limited and Management Limited and his wife Saumya Das did not appear in the court of judicial magistrate Raj Kumar Pandey. The court has fixed the next date of appearance as 20 July. On that day, they have been asked to present their side in the court either in person or through an advocate.

The court had taken cognizance in the last hearing as there was sufficient evidence against the accused. Both the accused are accused of causing financial loss of Rs 15 crore to Dhoni by committing fraud. Seemant Lohani has filed a complaint on behalf of Dhoni.

On the other hand, the accused in this case have already got the facility of anticipatory bail from the court of the Justice Commissioner.
