Lucknow, July 15 (HS). Aliganj police station has arrested a criminal with a reward of Rs 50,000 in a joint operation with the crime branch. The accused was the president of Sign City Private Limited Company. This company has swindled billions of rupees in the name of providing homes to people and multiplying the invested money. Many cases have been registered against the company officials, after which this arrest is being made.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (North) Abhijit R Shankar said that the arrested accused Gyan Prakash Upadhyay is originally from Faizabad. He lives in a rented house in Aliganj, Lucknow. Gyan Prakash was the president of this company. During interrogation, he told that Rashid Naseem, Asid Naseem, a resident of Prayagraj, along with others formed about 32-33 companies including Sign City. Along with selling land in this company, these people collected crores of rupees from people by promising to provide land in installments by luring them with the promise of doubling and tripling the money in a short time. For this, the company's offices were also opened in districts including Lucknow, Kanpur, Prayagraj, Varanasi. They absconded with more than one thousand twenty-five crore rupees of public money. In this regard, 550 cases have been registered against the company in various districts of the state. Earlier, more than 62 accused have been sent to jail. The company's luxury vehicles have been seized. The company's CMD Rashid Naseem is absconding, on whom the state government has placed a reward of five lakh rupees. Gyan Prakash is also named in these cases, on whom there was a reward of fifty thousand rupees. Action is being taken against the accused and he is being sent to jail.
