Barabanki: Consideration has started on the plan to build a new expressway in Uttar Pradesh. A plan has been made to build a Greenfield Expressway between Gorakhpur and Shamli. This approximately 700 kilometer long expressway will connect Gorakhpur in Purvanchal with Shamli in western UP. This expressway will pass through 22 districts of the state. The construction of this expressway will benefit a large population of the state. Connectivity will be better in Uttar Pradesh. First through Ganga Expressway and then through Gorakhpur Family Expressway, we will help in establishing the state as an expressway state by strengthening its infrastructure.
Construction work is going on continuously in UP
Expressways are being constructed continuously in UP. The foundation stone of Yamuna Expressway and Noida-Greater Noida Expressway was laid during the Mayawati government. At the same time, Akhilesh government completed the construction of Agra-Lucknow Expressway. During the tenure of about seven and a half years of Yogi government, the construction work of Purvanchal Expressway and Bundelkhand Expressway has been completed. Apart from this, the work of Delhi-Meerut Expressway has also been completed.
Work is underway on the plan to construct the state's longest Ganga Expressway, about a thousand kilometers long. In the first phase of Ganga Expressway, the pace of construction of expressway between Meerut and Prayagraj has been accelerated. At the same time, in the second phase, the construction process has been started between Prayagraj to Ballia.
Roadmap for new expressway ready
Big information has come to light regarding Gorakhpur-Shamli Expressway. NHAI has prepared the blueprint of the second longest expressway in the state. It will connect 22 districts between Gorakhpur and Shamli. This Greenfield Expressway will help in increasing the speed of vehicles in the state. Preparations are underway to prepare the DPR of this scheme. After this its complete map will be revealed.
Will be connected to Barabanki
Gorakhpur-Shamli Expressway will pass through a large part of Barabanki. It will cover an area of about 50 kilometers of the district. Barabanki has been included in an important area in Lucknow State Capital Region. Therefore this expressway project is being considered important. On this expressway, a facility to land fighter planes will be developed on the lines of Agra-Lucknow Expressway and Purvanchal Expressway. In case of emergency, planes can be landed there.
Another update has come regarding Barabanki. Like Ayodhya Highway, a plan has been made to make Barabanki-Bahraich Highway four lane. For this, preparations are being made to buy land from farmers. A new bridge will be built on the Saryu river in Ramnagar area on the highway. Project Director Saurabh Chaurasia said that the land will be acquired soon.
Will also be connected to other expressways
Gorakhpur-Shamli Expressway will be connected to several expressways. This will enable faster travel from one corner of the state to another. This very important greenfield expressway connecting the eastern and western regions of the state will also be connected to the Ambala-Shamli Economic Corridor. Apart from this, this expressway will also be given connectivity to Delhi-Dehradun Expressway. This will eliminate the need to change the route from Gorakhpur to reach Delhi.
Expressway will pass through these districts
Gorakhpur-Shamli Expressway will pass through 22 districts of the state. This mainly includes Basti, Sant Kabir Nagar, Gonda, Ayodhya, Barabanki, Bahraich, Lucknow, Sitapur, Hardoi, Shahjahanpur, Badaun, Bareilly, Rampur, Moradabad, Sambhal, Amroha, Bijnor, Meerut, Muzaffarnagar, Saharanpur, Shamli.
