The 40 kilometer long Spiritual Welfare Maha Kumbh Padyatra was organised even in the scorching heat

Chittorgarh, 09 June (HS). A huge crowd of devotees gathered in the spiritual Kalyan Mahapadayatra organized on Sunday on the occasion of the 19th Kalyan Mahakumbh of the famous Shri Sheshavatar Kallaji Vedpeeth Nimbahera of Mewar. The faith of the devotees prevailed over the scorching heat. Devotees from the age group of eight to 60 participated in it chanting the praises of their deity. Departing at 4 am from Thakurji's temple in Kalyan city Nimbahera, the padayatras reached Kallaji's chhatri in Chittor fort, 40 km away. They were welcomed by Kalyan devotees in Pratap Park located in Chittorgarh city. On this occasion, the devotees worshipped Thakurji's chariot.

In the procession that started from Pratap Park, on one side the students of Ved Vidyalaya participated in traditional saffron attire. The brave men and women and mother sisters of Krishna Shakti Dal participated wearing saffron attire. Girls of Shakti Dal were walking with the procession in military attire. Devotees were walking chanting loud slogans of Thakurji on the beats of Malviya Dhol with band and DJ sound. As per the tradition of Vedpeeth, a large number of devotees offered prayers and emotional floral tributes to the brave men and women who sacrificed their lives to protect the honour and pride of Mewar during the Charan Puja of Durg Raj by the pilgrims and devotees. During this, the Charan Puja of the fort was performed by the Acharyas and students of Vedpeeth with Vedic chanting. Worship was performed on behalf of Vedpeeth at the chhatri of Kallaji and Jaimalji situated in the fort. The Kalyan Rath was worshipped by devotees on behalf of both the folk deities. A large number of devotees participating in the Kalyan Mahapadyatra offered floral tributes to the statue of Maharana Pratap on horseback in Pratap Park by chanting Vedic mantras and offering prayers to Veer Shiromani Maharana Pratap on his birth anniversary. On this occasion, Acharya, Batuk, Trustees, officials of Vedpeeth and a large number of Kalyan devotees were present.
