The video of which also went viral. A case was registered in this matter on behalf of Prithvi Shaw. In which a case was registered against 8 people. Sapna Gill was also arrested. This can be considered the biggest controversy of Prithvi Shaw's career.

Could not show strength even in domestic cricket and IPL

Amidst the controversies, Prithvi Shaw could not prove his best form on the field. Although he played good innings many times, this did not help him get entry into the team as some other young players were consistently performing better than him. Playing for Delhi Capitals in IPL 2024, Prithvi Shaw scored only 198 runs in 8 matches at an average of 24.75. This was not enough to enter the Indian team. Shaw's performance in domestic cricket proved to be poor.
