Terrorists are planning to commit a major crime in Punjab, security agencies on alert mode

Amritsar : Pakistan-based notorious terrorist Harvinder Singh alias Rinda is planning to carry out a major terror attack in Punjab. Pakistan's intelligence agency ISI is supplying weapons to the state from across the border.

Indian security agencies have also sent information in this regard to the Home Ministry. At present, security arrangements have been tightened in the state regarding Lok Sabha elections and Saka Neel Tara Jayanti. Companies of paramilitary forces are also deployed.

no contact with gangsters

A senior Punjab Police official said that terrorist Rinda, based in Pakistan, is in contact with many gangsters from Canada, America, Australia and Malaysia. Rinda is collecting ransom of Rs 5 crore each from businessmen, doctors and industrialists of the state through gangsters and terrorists living abroad.

Apart from supplying weapons, this extortion money is being used to connect unemployed youth with terrorist networks to spoil the atmosphere of the state. Last Saturday also, Rinda had called the commission agent in Ramdas area and demanded a ransom of Rs 5 crore.
