Terrorist attack in Balochistan, 2 soldiers killed, 4 injured

Karachi: Unidentified persons shot dead 2 Pakistani soldiers and injured 4 others in restive Balochistan. Two soldiers were killed and four others seriously injured in indiscriminate firing by unidentified gunmen while searching and neutralizing landmines in the area near Ankara Dam area in Balochistan.

The report of this incident which took place on Sunday evening has been published in Pakistan's daily newspaper 'Dawn' this morning.

The SSP of Gwadar is giving more information about this. Mohsin Zoeb told reporters today (Monday), '25 km from Gwadar port. This incident happened far away. Two soldiers were killed and four others were injured in that firing.

It is further learned that a massive search operation is being conducted to nab the attackers. However, no terrorist group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack. But the separatist Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) has claimed responsibility for most of the attacks in and around Gwadar. BLA also opposes China's action and says, 'China and Pakistan are looting minerals from our country to gain mineral wealth.'

The banned group had also attacked the Gwadar Port Authority complex on March 24.

Balochistan's borders touch Iran as well as Afghanistan. Terrorists originate from these border areas.
