Terrible fire in the forests of Nainital, high alert issued, water being rained from helicopter

The scope of fire is increasing in the forests of Uttarakhand. The situation is such that Nainital, which is important for tourists, is surrounded by forest fire from all sides. The flames reached the residential areas of High Court Colony and near the Army area of ​​Nainital and are moving towards Haldwani as well as Kotdwar. In view of this, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has sought help from the army.

Air Force Mi-17 helicopter was deployed to extinguish the fire. Due to forest fire, nearby people are troubled by the smoke. People say that such a fire has never been seen before. Chief Minister Dhami visited the forest fire affected areas. To control the fire, leaves of all officials have been cancelled. Instructions have been given to take strict action against those who commit arson.

Although there was a fire in the forests of Nainital for four days, but due to strong winds the fire flared up further. Apart from Pauri, Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Uttarkashi, Tehri, Dehradun in Garhwal division and Nainital, Bageshwar, Almora, Pithoragarh and Champawat districts in Kumaon division are the most affected.

The fire broke out badly in the forests of Bhumiyadhar, Jeolikot, Narayan Nagar, Bhawali, Ramgarh and Mukteshwar areas of Nainital district, where Air Force helicopters sprayed water. Initially the helicopter had to take water from Naini Lake, hence sailing in this lake had to be stopped for some time, but later the helicopter decided to take water from Bhim Tal.
