Amritsar : A terrible fire broke out in a dyeing factory located in front of the Police Focal Point on Wednesday night. The factory was completely burnt to ashes. The factory owner has suffered a loss of lakhs of rupees due to the fire. The fire brigade was informed about this at around 3.35 pm on Wednesday night, after which vehicles from the fire brigade, service society and different places reached the spot and tried to control the fire. The fire was so fierce that it engulfed the entire factory. The cause of the fire has not been ascertained yet.
As soon as the information of the incident was received, the factory owner and police officers reached the spot. The smoke rising from the factory fire made life difficult for the people living nearby. Fire department employee Baldev Singh said that as soon as the information was received at night, their vehicles reached the spot.
Not only this, apart from the Seva Samiti, fire brigade vehicles were called from different places. By 7 am, about 30 vehicles were deployed and the fire was brought under control to a large extent. He said that officials reached the spot, after which the cause of the fire is being investigated.
