Pratapgarh: A tragic accident took place in Uttar Pradesh on Monday night. A private bus full of pilgrims going to Vindhyachal Dham went out of control and overturned after colliding with a truck on the Lucknow-Prayagraj highway. In this accident that happened late on Monday night, 3 passengers died and 10 were injured. The injured were taken to the hospital.
Late on Monday night, a bus from Unnao was going to Vindhyachal Dham carrying about four dozen pilgrims. The bus overturned after colliding with a truck coming from the front near Phulmati of Hathigwan on Lucknow-Prayagraj Highway.
The collision between the bus and the truck was so severe that the front left tire of the truck burst, while the cabin of the bus was blown to pieces. Hearing the screams of the passengers, people sleeping in nearby houses woke up.
3 killed and 10 injured
The injured were taken to CHC Kunda. Doctors declared Sandhya, 12-year-old daughter of Ramnarayan, resident of Dhata, Unnao, Krishna Kumar (50) and Vasu (22) dead. 10 devotees were seriously injured and were referred to SRN Prayagraj.
