Prithvi Shaw and Sapna Gill controversy Cricketer Prithvi Shaw is in trouble once again. A Mumbai court yesterday (April 3) ordered a probe into the alleged molestation of social media influencer Sapna Gill. According to reports, Metropolitan Magistrate S.C. Tayde has asked the police to submit the investigation report by June 19. Sapna Gill demanded action from the police for not registering an FIR against the cricketer. But the court rejected his demand.
What is the whole matter?
A video had surfaced on February 15 last year. This video was of a fight between cricketer Prithvi Shaw and social media influencer Sapna Gill. The allegation was that cricketer Prithvi Shaw assaulted Sapna Gill and her friends. Sapna Gill alleged that Shaw and his friends assaulted her. Sapna had also accused the cricketer of sexual harassment. Whereas Prithvi Show had accused Sapna and one of her friends of misbehavior and assault.
Sapna Gill-Nothing happened as claimed by CISF officials
Based on the complaint of Prithvi Show, Sapna and her friend were arrested. Later Sapna got bail. After coming out of jail, Sapna Gill filed a complaint against Shaw and his friends. The police told the Magistrate Court that all the allegations against the cricketer are false. CISF officials also told the police that no such incident as claimed by Sapna Gill had happened.
Sapna and her friend were drunk
Police told the court that examination of the CCTV footage of the pub revealed that Sapna and her friend Shobit Thakur were drunk and dancing. When Prithvi reached there, Shobhit wanted to record the cricketer with his mobile. But the show stopped him from doing so. After interrogating the people present in the pub and watching the footage, the police found out that Sapna was not touched inappropriately.
Sapna chases Prithvi show with baseball bat in hand
The police also told the court that they also examined the CCTV footage of the air traffic control tower near the incident site. After watching this video, it was revealed that Sapna Gill was chasing the car of Prithvi Show with a baseball bat in her hand. Sapna along with her friends also broke the glass of the cricketer's car.
