Australia coach Andrew McDonald expressed displeasure over the behavior of Indian players on the first day of the fifth and final Test match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. After a heated argument between Indian captain Jasprit Bumrah and Australian player Sam Constas, Bumrah took the wicket of Khawaja in the last over of the day. After this, Bumrah and the Indian team celebrated and pointed towards Constas, to which the coach said that this was an attempt to put pressure on the opposition player and it cannot be considered in keeping with the spirit of the game.

Statement from Coach McDonald:
McDonald said, “The celebration after taking India’s wicket was scary. However, this was within the limits of the rules, as no punishment was given for this. But it cannot be said that it is right to gather around the non-striker of the opposition team in this manner. It is our responsibility to ensure the mental condition of the batsman, so that he can perform better on the field.”

Answer of Indian players:
Famous Indian fast bowler Krishna said in the press conference, “We enjoy his way of playing. We also like to play aggressively. If someone says he can face us, we want to show that we are here with strong intentions. 11 players of our team are standing together.”

Match Events:
On the second day, Sam Constas scored 23 runs, which included some aggressive shots against Bumrah. However, in the end he was caught in the slip off the ball of Mohammad Siraj. After the fall of the wicket, Bumrah stepped towards Constas before joining the team’s celebration, which once again heated up the atmosphere.
