In such a situation, the police, sensing the situation, surrounded the crowd in front of the Superintendent Engineer's office and tried to convince them, but when the crowd did not listen to the police, the police used mild force and dispersed them. From here, the hooligans in the crowd again gathered at Jail Chauraha. This crowd entered RK Colony and also pelted stones at the police in protest against the lathi-charge.

Some time after the lathicharge, some protesters reached in front of the Collectorate and sat on a dharna. The police asked these youths to end the dharna, but when the hooligans did not end the dharna, the police showed strictness and drove them away by lathicharge.
