Araria 13 September (HS). Under the National Child Health Program, 10 children of the district suffering from heart disease were sent to Ahmedabad on Friday for necessary treatment. Earlier, DM Anil Kumar met the families of all the sick children. The District Magistrate wished for the speedy recovery of the children. After necessary tests at the Indira Gandhi Institute of Cardiology in the capital Patna, all the sick children will leave for the country's prestigious Satya Sai Hospital in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
From treatment of the children to their transportation, all expenses will be borne by the state government.
After meeting the children's family, the District Magistrate said that the main objective of Bal Hriday Yojana, run under the National Child Health Program, is to provide high level medical facilities to children aged 0 to 18 years suffering from heart disease. The District Magistrate said that the state government is committed to providing necessary help to those who are unable to get their children treated due to financial constraints or any other reason. Our aim is to provide proper treatment to the children on time, so that they can get well soon and lead a normal life. While sending the children for necessary treatment, the District Magistrate also wished all the children for their better future.
He said that under the National Child Health Program, there is a provision for free treatment of many diseases including skin diseases, teeth, eyes, respiratory disorders, congenital disabilities, cleft lip and palate of children from 0 to 18 years. Common people need to be aware of this and make others aware of it too. This initiative of the government is not only an effort to spread awareness about children's health, but also makes the weaker sections of the society feel that their children's future is in safe hands. This step of the government is a ray of hope for those families who are struggling for the treatment of their children. Civil surgeon Dr. KK Kashyap, DPM Santosh Kumar, District Coordinator of National Child Health Program Dr. Prashant Kumar and other health workers were present on the occasion.
