News India Live, Digital Desk: Telangana Politics: Kaleshwaram Inquiry Commission has given former Chief Minister and Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader Chandrasekhar Rao Notice has been issued to. Justice PC Ghosh Commission has issued a notice to former minister T Harish Rao and BJP MP Etala Rajendra. Summons have been issued to appear before the Commission within 15 days.
Six -member PAN formed in March 2024L has investigated three barrages of Kaleshwaram lift irrigation project – Annaram, Sundila, Medigadda. During KCR’s tenure, Harish Rao served as Irrigation Minister, while Atala Rajendra served as Finance Minister.
Commission’s decision to interrogate KCR:
The Commission, formed under the leadership of retired Judge Justice PC Ghosh of the Supreme Court, interrogated the construction, management, design, quality control, pay and irrigation, top officials of the department to the representatives of the construction companies.
The government has extended the tenure of the Commission 7 times if needed from time to time. The term was extended for just one month in April. Justice PC Ghosh is scheduled to submit a final report to the government between May 21-22. However, during the investigation, most senior engineers and officials said that decisions were taken in the presence of the previous Chief Minister and several decisions were implemented on their orders. It is reported that the Commission has also decided to know the opinion of KCR, Harish Rao and Atala Rajendra.
