Tech: If your phone gets stolen then do these 3 things, otherwise your bank account will be empty!

In today's time, it is unimaginable to complete various tasks without a mobile phone. Be it home, office or roadside, people use mobile phones everywhere and everywhere. Many times, when we use mobile phones in public places, pickpockets get hold of the mobile, due to which fear of emptying the bank account is created in the minds of people.

In fact, nowadays mobile phones provide the facility to use various financial services including UPI and internet banking. That's why people fear that if their mobile phone is stolen, their bank account will be empty. If your mobile phone is stolen, doing these three things immediately can reduce your worries:

Block the SIM card: First of all, block your SIM card immediately. You can contact the customer care of your telecom operator or dial 14422 for this purpose.

File an FIR (First Information Report): File an FIR in the nearest police station. Provide the required information including the phone's IMEI number and other details.

Remotely lock the phone and wipe data: If your phone has the “Find My Device” or “Find My iPhone” feature activated, use it to remotely lock the phone and erase data.

Here are some additional tips:

• Record your phone's IMEI number and other important information in advance.
• Have the “Find My Device” or “Find My iPhone” feature enabled on your phone.
• Protect your phone with a password or PIN.
• Avoid leaving your phone unattended in public places.
