Vinod Kambli: Many fans were heartbroken to see former Indian cricketer Vinod Kambli struggling to stand, speak and present himself properly during a recent event. Kambli, once considered one of India’s best talents, is now in a very bad shape. Seeing his condition his cricket partner was heartbroken.
Kambli met Sachin Tendulkar again during the unveiling of the memorial of famous cricket coach Ramakant Vitthal Achrekar at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Park. The event was also attended by former Indian cricketer Sameer Dighe, who played cricket with Kambli in the Mumbai team for many years. Dighe became emotional while speaking to The Times of India as he recalled meeting Kambli at the event many years later.
tears came to my eyes
Sameer Dighe said, I met him after many years. He stood up and hugged me and called me ‘Samya’. I could not see him in this condition. I felt very bad. There were tears in my eyes. We have played together (for Mumbai) for 14 years; I pray to God to give me good health.
It is noteworthy that in the video shared by Shivaji Park Gymkhana, Sachin can be seen going to congratulate Kambli. Both of them, disciples of Ramakant Vitthal Achrekar, hugged each other and talked for some time.
