Moradabad, 25 November (HS). Semi-final matches were played on Monday in the District Sports Association Under-16 Inter Club Cricket League. Springfield Cricket Academy reached the final after defeating Parker Cricket Academy in the first semi-final. In the second semi-final, players of Rukmani Cricket Academy defeated DPGS Cricket Academy on the basis of their batting and made it to the final. The final match between the two will be held on Tuesday.
District Sports Association Secretary and former Ranji player Vijay Gupta said that the first match of the semi-final was held between Parker Cricket Academy and Springfield Cricket Academy on the grounds of IFTM University. In which Parker Cricket Academy won the toss and batted first and was all out after scoring 140 runs in 35.1 overs. Alok Yadav scored 33 runs and Veerappan scored 28 runs for the team. Wahab and Ansh Yadav took 3 wickets each for Springfield Cricket Academy. Springfield Cricket Academy achieved the target in 18.1 overs. For the team, Ansh Yadav scored 70 not out and Imran scored 67 not out. Man of the match Ansh Yadav was selected.
The second match of the semi-final was played between Rukmani Cricket Academy and DPGS Cricket Academy. DPGS won the toss and elected to field first. Rukmani Cricket Academy, playing first, was all out after scoring 254 runs in the stipulated 40 overs. Mohammad Usman scored 90, Ashraf Raza scored 54 runs. In bowling for DPGS Cricket Academy, Aman Warsi took 3 wickets and Wasim and Yash Vashistha took 2 wickets each. DPGS Cricket Academy, chasing the target, could score only 202 runs after losing 8 wickets in the stipulated 40 overs. During this, Aman Warsi scored unbeaten 80 and Wasim scored 44 runs for the team. In bowling for Rukmani Cricket Academy, Mohammad Usman and Kushal Yadav took 2 wickets each and Mohammad Areeb, Abdul Rehman and Mohammad Jami took 1 wicket each. Man of the match Mohammad Usman was selected. Rukmani Cricket Academy won this match by 52 runs.
