India had a target of just 3 runs in the Super Over, which Suryakumar Yadav achieved by hitting a four on the very first ball, while Washington Sundar bowled for India in the Super Over and sent two batsmen to the pavilion by giving just two runs.
Earlier, after losing the toss, India batted and scored 137 runs for the loss of 9 wickets. For the first time in the series, Team India's batting faltered. For the team, Shubman Gill scored 39 runs, Riyan Parag scored 26 runs and Washington Sundar scored 25 runs. While for Sri Lanka, Mahish Teekshna took three wickets and Wanindu Hasaranga took two wickets. At the same time, Wickramasinghe, Asitha Fernando and Ramesh Mendis got one success each.
