South Africa's Morne Morkel has joined the Indian team as bowling coach. Earlier, his name was much discussed. Morkel has worked with Gautam Gambhir in the IPL. Morkel will start his tenure as the bowling coach of the Indian cricket team from the upcoming Test series against Bangladesh.

Morkel has also been the coach of the Pakistan team.

Morkel was the coach of the Pakistan team during the ODI World Cup 2023. However, he resigned before the expiry of his contract.
