Jaunpur, 07 July (HS). The teachers' unions of the Basic Education Department have intensified their opposition to digital attendance. District President of Uttar Pradesh Primary Teachers' Union, Amit Singh, said that on the call of Uttar Pradesh Primary Teachers' Union Provincial President Sushil Pandey, the teachers' union will completely boycott the digital attendance order from 08 July under the dictatorial order of the department.
Amit Singh said that on July 08, all the teachers of the state will tie black bands in their respective schools and protest while teaching. On July 11, a memorandum will be given to the Chief Minister through the District Magistrate in the Collectorate premises in protest against this order.
He said that despite repeated talks and memorandums by the provincial leadership on essential issues including implementation of 30 EL, Half CL, holiday on second Saturday of the week for teachers, resolution of long pending problems, removal of salary discrepancy, health insurance, restoration of old pension, etc., these legitimate demands have not been accepted till now.
Therefore, tomorrow all the teachers of the district will wear black bands in their respective schools and fearlessly raise their voices in unison against this arbitrary order; the district unit stands firmly with them.
