Teachers staged a strong protest against online attendance

Hamirpur, 8 July (HS). On Monday evening, on the call of Rashtriya Shikshak Mahasangh, teachers took out a procession and protested strongly against online attendance. The union demanded that the system should be implemented only after the basic problems related to digitalization are resolved. The union submitted a memorandum addressed to the Chief Minister with various demands to the Additional District Magistrate.

Teachers protested against not considering their old demand letter. In the memorandums sent earlier to the Director General of School Education and State Project Director, a warning of demonstration was given if the problems were not resolved. But the problems were not resolved by the stipulated date. While the delegation of the organization was called for talks. In the talks, the delegation was assured that this system would be implemented only after the basic problems related to digitization were resolved. The union had demanded to provide the facility of departmental SIM card. As per the pre-determined program, teachers protested fiercely on Monday opposing online attendance. Teachers took out a procession in the city and raised slogans.

After this, a memorandum addressed to the Chief Minister was handed over to the DM. In which they made demands like providing the option of half-day leave to teachers, providing state employees facilities to teachers, providing the option of relaxation in online attendance to BSA, inclusion in cashless medical scheme, implementation of the current online attendance system of digitalization only after resolving the fundamental problems related to digitalization, etc. On this occasion, thousands of teachers including President Lal Singh Rajput, Vice President Aniket Yadav and Sumit Sachan, District Publicity Minister Mangal Singh Yadav, Gyanendra Singh, Neha Gupta, Vishnu Kumar Dwivedi, Brijesh Sahu, Sandeep Singh, Bhuvanendra Singh were present.
