Gorakhpur, September 5 (HS). Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath appealed to the teachers and said that a teacher cannot be a part of a trade union, nor should he be. This is against the dignity of a teacher. Whenever you try to make yourself a trade union, you will be playing with your own dignity.
CM Yogi was addressing the teachers and other people present after distributing state awards to the best teachers of basic and secondary education on Teachers' Day on Thursday. In the ceremony organized at Yogiraj Baba Gambhirnath Auditorium, 41 teachers of Basic Education Department and 13 teachers of Secondary Education Department (total 54) were awarded. The Chief Minister awarded all the teachers with his own hands. While giving awards to the teachers, CM Yogi congratulated them by having a cordial conversation and also encouraged them a lot. Due to injury in the leg of a teacher, Moolchand of Aligarh, the Chief Minister himself went to him and awarded him. Seeing this, everyone present there said, the Chief Minister won the hearts of all the teachers by expressing the feeling of unique respect towards the teachers.
At the State Teacher Award Distribution Ceremony, the Chief Minister told the teachers that there is a democratic way to put forward their demands. Today, demands can be sent digitally through email. It can be sent to the Chief Minister's Office along with or after sending it to the officials. The Chief Minister assured that your memorandum, written simply and based on issues, will be an order, not begging and it is not good for a teacher to beg in today's time.
India is a country that respects the Guru tradition
CM Yogi said that India has always been a country that respects the Guru tradition. Our scriptures show the feeling of reverence towards the Guru with the mantra 'Guru Brahma, Guru Vishnu'. Saint Kabirdas ji has given the Guru a higher status than God by quoting 'Guru-Govind do khade'. There is a feeling of reverence towards the Guru because knowledge cannot be attained without reverence. It is also said in our country, Shraddhavan labhate gyanam. And one who cannot be knowledgeable cannot do anything in life.
*Excellent results come from work done through sadhana*
CM Yogi said that a teacher is the center of respect in the society but to become a respectable person, one has to work hard and do sadhana. Knowledge does not come just by getting a degree, hard sadhana is also necessary for this. The path of sadhana is definitely difficult but its results are the best. The results of work done through sadhana are excellent. Therefore, teachers should never step back from the path of hard sadhana. He said that a person does not suddenly become a teacher, he has to go through continuous practice. He has to think of the simplest way to explain to his students.
*Services of award winning teachers should be taken in preparing the curriculum of SCERT*
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, while praising the excellent service, innovation and experiences of the teachers awarded with the State Teacher Award, said that he has directed the Education Department to use the services of these award winning teachers for the courses and books of SCERT (State Council of Educational Research and Training). The experiences of these teachers will be very helpful in explaining the subject matter to children in an easy way. The Chief Minister said that these teachers should also be included as representatives in the Education Service Selection Commission. He said that when teachers get involved in innovation, children will benefit from it. He said that a good teacher is one who explains the introduction and conclusion in a lesson in an easy way. If the child understands the gist, he will understand the entire lesson. He appealed to the teachers to prepare simple rules, formulas, idioms, proverbs, poems and teach and explain to children easily with quotes. Find new ways of teaching.
*Innovation needs to be a habit*
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, our National Education Policy has set a new destination. In accordance with this, we should not only adopt the traditional curriculum but also inculcate the habit of innovation. Innovation can easily happen in every field. Giving the example of a daughter of Jhansi cultivating strawberries on the roof of the house during the Corona period and the innovation of dragon fruit cultivation by a farmer of Barabanki, the CM said that when a person does something new, something unique, the picture of the entire area changes. The Chief Minister said that teachers are the future makers of the country, so they also need to pay constant attention to innovation. It can be started from school itself. Teachers can make the school environment clean, beautiful and green by taking children and parents along. Efforts can also be made to make the environment of these schools spiritual. In the daily prayer meeting, a five-minute address can be held among the children on the quotes of Shrimad Bhagwat Geeta or Ramcharitmanas. Such efforts will leave a good impression on the minds of children for life. He said that it is worth considering why education and teachers are being viewed with suspicion and doubt. Three decades ago, our government inter colleges were the best centres. Due to the environment created by the teachers, the number of students there was quite good. Today, there is a decline in the number of students. The decreasing number of children in schools amid the increasing population is a matter of concern. Teachers will have to think about the environment of the school.
*Our schools should become centres of research and development*
CM Yogi urged teachers to make schools a centre of research and development. He said that the students of our schools will become leaders in the future. They will become progressive farmers, ideal politicians, ideal teachers, ideal doctors and ideal lawyers. It is the responsibility of teachers to prepare a generation that does excellent work in their field.
*UP's Operation Kayakalp was appreciated in NITI Aayog*
CM Yogi said that Operation Kayakalp, run in the field of basic education in UP, was appreciated in the NITI Aayog and it was considered exemplary for other states. 1.36 lakh schools of the state were covered under Operation Kayakalp. When there was a competition for good work, schools were also strengthened with the help of CSR. Along with Operation Kayakalp, the School Chalo Abhiyan has brought excellent results in the state.
*Day care schools will be opened in 57 districts*
The Chief Minister said that today PM Shri Vidyalaya, CM Composite Vidyalaya are being opened in the state. Atal Residential Schools have been opened at all 18 divisional headquarters of the state for free education of children of laborers and children destitute due to Corona. Soon day care schools will be opened in the remaining 57 districts.
*Focus on your duties, you will gain rights*
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath appealed to all the teachers to join the resolution of making India a developed nation by 2047 as per the wishes of PM Modi. The concept of developed India is also there in the National Education Policy. He said that it starts with civic duties. If we focus on duties, then the rights will be automatically obtained. He said that when the country develops, everyone will be happy. In a prosperous country, no one will be deprived of rights.
*Donation is not given by begging*
CM said that donations are not given by begging. Donations are given only from the income earned through hard work. The responsibility of inspiring the society on the path of hard work lies on the future-making teachers. On understanding this responsibility, the future generation will express respect towards you.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath congratulated the people of the state on Teachers' Day by remembering the country's second President Sarvapalli Dr. Radhakrishnan. Describing Bharat Ratna awardee Dr. Radhakrishnan as an erudite scholar and a great philosopher, he said that in his honor, his birth anniversary is celebrated as Teachers' Day.

In the State Teacher Award Distribution Ceremony, Minister of State for Basic Education (Independent Charge) Sandeep Singh, after paying homage to Sarvepalli Dr. Radhakrishnan, while wishing all the teachers on Teacher's Day, said that the basis of the basic progress of any nation is its culture and educated citizens. He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the state government and the education department are making the entire education system strong and well organized. While highlighting the personality of Sarvepalli Dr. Radhakrishnan, Minister of State for Secondary Education (Independent Charge) Gulab Devi said that under the guidance of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the secondary education system of the state has become stronger than ever. While all the basic facilities have been strengthened in secondary schools, 8023 teachers have been appointed in government schools and 34074 teachers in aided schools. CM Yogi has constituted the Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission to ensure that there is no shortage of teachers in all schools. The Secondary Education Minister said that teachers should discharge their role with commitment in the personality development of their students.
