Bhopal, March 2 (HS). Governor Mangubhai Patel said that the society should think that instead of helping in building a country rich in vast resources, the youth go and work outside the country. Students from the land of Nalanda and Vikramshila Universities, the centers of the world's education system, go to study in other countries. He has expected the university and teachers to inculcate values ​​in the students through their own conduct along with knowledge. He has asked to motivate the students to solve national challenges and contribute to nation building.

Governor Patel was addressing the first convocation ceremony of SEZ University, Bhopal on Saturday. In the programme, he presented honorary D.Litt degree to international hockey player Padmashree Dhanraj Pillai, journalist Himanshu Shekhar Mishra and litterateur Alok Sethi and gold and silver medals to meritorious students of various subjects.

The Governor told the students that the convocation is an event to remind the students that the entire society, from the poorest of the poor, has played a role in helping them reach this important day. It is the ultimate responsibility of the students to remember their duties towards them.

He said that a new India is emerging under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which is moving rapidly towards becoming a world leader. The students who are being initiated are part of this great historical tradition and heritage of the rise of India, who have to build a better society and nation. He reminded that completion of university education is not the end of education. They have to discover and implement solutions to life's challenges with a spirit of continuous learning.

Governor Patel said that it is a matter of joy that Prime Minister Shri Modi has started the Mahayagya of making the present and future of India in the form of National Education Policy. It is the responsibility of the education world to prepare good students, capable professionals and responsible citizens for the country through new opportunities and changes in the education system. Work should be done with the commitment of quality education in the campuses of universities. Students should get easy opportunities to follow their passion. Teachers should continuously update their skills. Teachers should inspire students to participate in social concerns through their conduct. Asked universities to make students aware of the dignity and importance of labour. Take them to rural areas to teach them to respect labour.

Padmashree Dhanraj Pillai, awarded the honorary degree, inspired him to do work in life that brings glory to his family, friends, city, society and nation. Alok Sethi suggested the students to travel as much as possible in life. Journalist Himanshu Shekhar Mishra has described the convocation as an opportunity to face future challenges and make an action plan to contribute to nation building.
