Teachers in Uttar Pradesh protested against digital attendance by wearing black bands


Lucknow, 08 July (HS). Teachers started marking their attendance digitally in the primary schools of Basic Education Council in Uttar Pradesh from Monday. The teachers tied black bands on their hands in protest against the digital attendance system.
To implement the regular education system in primary schools, the rule of digital attendance of teachers has been implemented. The digital attendance system was to be implemented on July 15, but then seeing the angry attitude of the teachers, it was implemented at 7 am on July 8. In which the teachers had to mark their attendance by 8:30 am.

In Uttar Pradesh, some teachers showed their activism regarding digital presence, yet they joined the protests of teacher organizations. During the protest of the teacher organizations against the digital system, the teachers tied black bands on their hands. During this, some teachers also boycotted the protest.

Teachers in all schools of Basic Shiksha Parishad have been called upon by the organizations to hold a joint demonstration on the upcoming 15th of July. This demonstration will be held at the headquarters of all the districts. A large number of primary teachers have been requested to attend the demonstration. Two teachers' organizations have directly taken the responsibility of the demonstration on 15th July.
