Ranchi, 05 September (HS). Teachers' Day was celebrated with great pomp on Thursday at GD Goenka School located in Namkum, Ranchi. Through various cultural programs, Goenka students expressed their gratitude and respect towards teachers. The cultural program was started by paying tribute to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan by lighting the lamp by the guests present.
On this occasion, the Principal of the school, Dr. Sunil Kumar, explained the role of the teacher in character building of the student and praised the students for the program presented by them on Teacher's Day. During this, the Vice Chairman of the school, Aman Singh, said that the Guru-Shishya tradition is not only limited to the exchange of education and knowledge, but culture, morality and spirituality also have a special place in it.
