Balrampur, 7 December (Hindustan Reporter). In Balrampur district, a teacher beat the children so much that their bodies got swollen at many places. Injuries were formed on the legs. Children are having trouble walking, sitting and even lying down. Children are afraid to go to school again. At the same time, when a complaint was made against the teacher, he said that he had beaten the children considering them his own. The incident is today Saturday.
The matter pertains to Raghunathnagar Atmanand English Medium School of Balrampur district. Here the teacher had asked the students to remember the answers to some questions. Today when the teacher asked questions the children could not answer. Angered by this, the teacher beat four children severely with a stick. The children of seventh class were beaten in such a way that marks of sticks were formed on their feet. Now these children are afraid even to go to school.
Family members complained
When the children reached home after being beaten in school, their parents came to know about the entire incident. After seeing the children’s injuries, the parents complained to the school principal and the block education officer. Along with the family members of the children, other people of the society have also demanded action against the accused teacher.
The accused teacher apologized
The teacher who brutally beat the children has also apologized when the matter escalated. The teacher says that 5-6 months ago he had asked some questions to the children, but the students did not know the answers. The teacher said that he beat them considering them as his children. He said that there was no personal matter in this. The accused teacher has also apologized to the children’s family and the teachers’ union.
The school principal said that he does not support such behaviour. Condemning the incident, he said that teachers had already been warned not to assault children. In this case, a show cause notice has also been issued to the accused teacher.
