New Delhi: Tata Motors is currently the country's largest electric car manufacturer. Along with this, the company is planning to introduce its new products in many segments. In this series, the Indian car manufacturer will introduce four new SUVs including an EV by the end of the year. Let us know about them.
tata punch facelift
Tata Punch has been in the market since 2021 and after launching its electric version with a new design language, we may soon see an updated version of the micro-SUV. The Punch facelift, which was recently spotted testing for the first time, is expected to go on sale around the festive season 2024. Talking about the design changes, it is expected to get connected LED DRLs, vertically stacked headlamps and updated bumpers in line with Tata's latest crop.
Tata Curve EV
Tata Curvei EV will be the next big launch from Tata Motors in the electric vehicle segment. The coupe-SUV was last showcased in its production-ready ICE version at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024. It is expected to launch in EV form in mid-2024, followed by a conventionally powered curve.
Tata Harrier and Safari Petrol
Petrol-powered versions of the Tata Harrier and Safari are long overdue and we expect them to be launched by the end of this year. It was earlier speculated that the flagship SUV from Tata Motors will get a new petrol engine along with the facelift update. However, the new engine was under development at the time of launch.
A new 1.5-litre tGDi 4-cylinder petrol engine will power the Harrier and Safari, which was first showcased at the 2023 Auto Expo. This new petrol mill will come with 168 bhp power output and 350 Nm peak torque. It will have the option of 6-speed manual and automatic gearbox.
