Ingredients to make Methi Thepla

  • 1 cup fenugreek
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup curd
  • half teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • half spoon garam masala
  • 2 chopped green chillies
  • 1 teaspoon ginger paste
  • 1 tbsp garlic paste
  • 1/2 teaspoon celery
  • to fry as required
  • salt to taste

How to make Methi Thepla

  • – First of all, put wheat flour in a bowl.
  • Wash fenugreek seeds thoroughly with water and chop them finely.
  • Add it to the flour and add garlic, ginger paste, chopped green chillies, celery, red chilli powder, garam masala, turmeric powder, curd and mix well.
  • Now add salt as per taste and mash it by adding some water.
  • – Add one to two spoons of refined oil, now knead the dough and it becomes soft.
  • Do not mix too wet or hard flour.
  • The softer the dough, the softer the bags will be.
  • Cover it and leave it for 10 minutes.
  • – Heat a pan or griddle on the gas stove.
  • – Make small balls of dough and shape them into parathas.
  • You can also rotate them.
  • – Place the bag in the pan and fry it repeatedly.
  • – Apply light oil on both sides and when it turns golden brown, take it out in a plate.
  • Ghee can also be used instead of refined oil.
  • Similarly, roll all the bags slowly.
  • Hot methi bags are ready to serve for a tasty and healthy breakfast.
  • Enjoy it with curd, pickle or coriander chutney, tomato chutney.
